My Healing Center Story

I am proud to be a board member of The Healing Center.

The Healing Center provides support to both children and adults who have suffered the loss of someone significant in their lives. The Center offers groups that are facilitated by professionals. Clients are able to find support, community and understanding.

There is no charge to join our groups which is a great benefit for those experiencing crisis and don't know where to turn for help.

When people feel like grief is drowning them, The Healing Center is here to pull them to safety. 

Without support, grieving adults and children face dire hardships including financial strain, trouble in school, and increased risks of heart attack, stroke, depression, suicide, and substance abuse. 

The Healing Center meets these struggles with support and validation. Clients often arrive feeling trapped and alone, but in groups surrounded by others who “get it” their pain is transformed into a meaningful sense of community. No one can make the ocean of grief disappear, but together we learn to navigate its complicated waters.

And because grieving families already have enough to worry about—all The Center's services are free. Thanks to donors like you, The Healing Center is able to help hundreds of children, teens, adults, and seniors a year.
