Who We Are

Welcome to Consejo, we are dedicated to creating positive change in the lives of those we serve. Here at Consejo, we prioritize serving underserved, monolingual, and marginalized individuals by offering culturally and linguistically competent behavioral health services, support services, and advocacy tailored to their unique needs and challenges.

Since 1978, Consejo has been an organization created by the people, for the people. Our team comes from over 27 different countries, reflecting the diverse communities we serve. Plus, more than 75% of our leaders identify as BIPOC or Latinx, showing our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Throughout our history, Consejo has been a trusted presence in King, Pierce, North Sound, and Thurston-Mason County. From children to elders, we've been dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families, helping them navigate life's challenges and find their path to wellness. As a licensed, award-winning treatment center accredited by the Joint Commission, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of care and excellence.

What We Do

At Consejo, we're dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to individuals, families, and communities facing various unique challenges. Our integrated care model includes behavioral health, substance use treatment, domestic violence and sexual assault support, youth violence prevention, and supportive housing services. By empowering individuals to engage in their communities at their highest level of functioning, we aim to break down barriers and promote holistic well-being. At Consejo, we tailor our support to each client, helping them learn and apply new skills to enrich their lives while nurturing self-acceptance, emotional security, and personal growth.
