Become a friend of Consejo 

Join us to continue promoting well-being and resilience for adults and older adults. Within our comprehensive care framework, we offer specialized services for adults and older adults facing cognitive disabilities, mood disorders, and emotional challenges. Our experienced clinical teams provide support for conditions such as Alzheimer's, depression, neurocognitive disorder (NCD), anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder. We create a nurturing environment that supports healing and recovery.

We focus on improving our clients' quality of life by enhancing their functional capabilities, fostering successful coping strategies, and improving social and life skills. Our individualized approach ensures that each client receives the personalized attention they deserve. At Consejo, we believe that social connections and healthy activities are vital to mental and social well-being. Our senior program is dedicated to boosting self-esteem, empowering individuals, and promoting overall well-being. We create a nurturing environment that supports healing and recovery.

Healing Your Wounds

Healing Your Wounds is a transformative support group rooted in the teachings of psychologist Lise Bourbeau’s book, Heal Your Wounds and Find Your True Self. This powerful book explores five core emotional wounds—rejection, abandonment, humiliation, betrayal, and injustice—and the emotional masks we create to cope with them.

Together, we explore the roots of our personal challenges, uncover hidden emotional patterns, and learn how these wounds shape our experiences. This group provides a safe and nurturing space for participants to grow emotionally, supported by peers who share and understand their journey.

Our Approach:

  • Holistic healing: We incorporate activities that nourish the mind, spirit, and heart.

  • Inner child work: Weekly meditations and exercises are designed to reconnect with and heal the inner child.

  • Community support: Participants share insights, receive support, and grow through shared experiences.

  • Dynamic sessions: Every Friday includes new practices with a consistent focus on emotional healing.

Our group is intergenerational, with participants ranging from teens to elders (currently ages 17–83). Whether joining alone or with family, you’ll find a place here. Whether you’re seeking emotional healing, a supportive space, or want to understand yourself and others better, we welcome you. New participants can join at any time.

Grupo de Bienestar    
In line with our commitment to holistic wellness, our Grupo de Bienstar is a community group focused on improving the mental and social well-being of older adults.

We offer a variety of activities that encourage social interaction, provide educational resources, and promote healthy living. Our goal is to help you make connections, develop new skills, and improve your overall quality of life.

At Consejo, our dedicated staff makes sure older adults feel welcome and culturally understood. We take great pride in their commitment to fostering a warm and inclusive environment, making Consejo a place where everyone can thrive and feel at home.

Meditate and Listen to your Soul

Meditate and Listen to Your Soul is a weekly online meditation group conducted in Spanish. The sessions provide a consistent, supportive space for individuals to explore mindfulness, connect with themselves, and develop inner calm.

The group meets via Zoom every Wednesday at 9:00 AM, using the same weekly link. Afternoon sessions will be introduced soon. Each session includes guided meditation techniques such as conscious breathing and visualization, followed by a short period of shared reflection.

The practice aims to:

  • Increase energy levels

  • Improve sleep quality

  • Enhance intuition

  • Balance the nervous system

  • Support emotional regulation and patience

This program emphasizes regular practice in a safe and inclusive environment, fostering personal well-being and self-awareness through meditation.
