As we prepare for GiveBig 2026, I wanted to share a story about the heart of Women United.
When we talk about supporting our kinship families, we often think of the tangible things—clothes from Hope's Closet or meals at our socials. But there is another kind of support that is just as vital: emotional and mental wellness.
Our "Grandma’s Hands Art Therapy" program is where this healing happens. It’s a safe space where grandmothers raising their grandchildren can gather, pick up a beading needle or a canvas, and simply exhale. Through the act of creating, they find a way to process the stress of their unique journeys. It’s more than art; it’s a lifeline of sisterhood and support that helps eliminate the loneliness many caregivers feel.
Your support during GiveBig ensures that programs like Grandma’s Hands remain free for every caregiver who needs them.
Will you join us in providing this tangible hope?
