After other human services offices have closed for the day, Operation Nightwatch remains open, providing evening and late-night options for food and shelter.

Here's how we help:

Food -- Every night at 8 pm, Nightwatch volunteers prepare and serve a hot, indoor meal for about 150 people.

Shelter -- Nightwatch provides emergency shelter for both men and women; 20 beds for men and 20 for women, every night of the year.

Senior Housing -- Permanent affordable housing is provided for 24 formerly-homeless seniors in a dorm-style setting, with shared kitchens and bathrooms. Our Housing Coordinator helps to keep our seniors safe and housed by providing meals, friendship, and support.

Street Ministry -- Nightwatch street ministers and committed volunteers provide food and friendship to people experiencing homelessness. Street teams provide a wide range of services, including ID replacement, bus tickets home, information and referrals. Socks, blankets, food and water are distributed as well.

Case management -- Our Case Manager helps our shelter guests find and connect with resources like jobs and housing.

Medical -- Our medical clinic volunteers provide basic care & referrals for our shelter guests.

Volunteers -- Nightwatch cannot function without volunteers. Volunteers help with nightly feeding, street outreach, mentoring, office support, baking, and numerous other ways. Check our website for more info.

Nightwatch provides food, shelter, housing, and hope. Please join us.

A personal note from me:

  • I give because I have seen how Nightwatch shows up when others cannot.

  • I give because when most of the city is quiet, our neighbors who are struggling still need warmth, safety, and someone who knows their name.

  • I give because every meal, every bed, every conversation reminds someone that they matter.

  • And I give because I believe deeply that small acts of care change lives.

Thank you for standing with us and for helping keep this work alive.
