Operation Nightwatch provides food, shelter, housing and hope every night, even in a pandemic.
Every night, we feed hungry people. Every night, we are a refuge for our homeless friends. Every night, we care for seniors. And in these perilous times, we keep on making friends with people surviving outside.
Our mission is to reduce the impacts of poverty and homelessness, in keeping with Jesus' teaching to love our neighbors. And we need your help.
Here's how we help:
Food -- Every night at 9 pm, Nightwatch volunteers prepare and serve a meal to-go for these pandemic times.
Shelter -- Nightwatch provides a limited number of off-site shelter options for homeless men, as well as providing for support services to pandemic-displaced Nightwatch clients in a local hotel.
Senior Housing -- Permanent affordable housing is provided for 24 seniors in a dorm-style setting, with shared kitchens and bathrooms.
Street Ministry -- Nightwatch street ministers and committed volunteers provide food and friendship to homeless adults outside. Street teams provide a wide range of services, including ID replacement, bus tickets home, information and referrals. Socks, blankets, food and water are distributed as well.
Volunteers -- Nightwatch cannot function without volunteers. Volunteers help with nightly feeding, mentoring, office support, and other. Check our website.
Funding -- We're small and scrappy. Operation Nightwatch is funded by groups and individuals, not big government contracts.
Be Kind. Be Nightwatch.
