Harini teaches at PCNW and in her artist statement she talks about how 
our world has changed when it comes to interacting with others. 

Connections 
"In this ongoing project, I try to channel my feelings on what human connection means to me. As an introverted middle-aged person in an increasingly online world, there has been a loss of human interaction, intentional or not. Sometimes, being in my own company, focusing inwards and letting the outside world drop away is enough. Other times, I try to remind myself to focus on who and what are important to me and put in the effort to nurture the connections that matter. 

"The images in this series are Black and White images shot on film and printed in the darkroom. I use a brush to paint on the developer to reveal and manipulate the parts of the image that are most important. Each print is unique." Harini Krishnamurthy  

With your help the goal is to raise $2,000 by May 5th to support PCNW's educational programing, scholarships, free exhibitions and programs, community building and creative opportunities available for everyone.

Here’s what your gift can do:

• $75: 10 hours of time in the darkroom, digital lab, or studio  

• $135: One scholarship to a basics-series workshop 

• $250: Class materials for an introductory 10-week class 

• $500: Class materials + 10 professional archival prints 

• $1,000: One scholarship to a 10-week class + 20 hours of lab time 

• $2,500: A full academic year (three quarters) of study for one scholarship student 

• $5,000: Subsidized class materials for an entire quarter of scholarship students
