$10,000 goal

This year Rooster Haus has been able to provide a safe home, nutritious food, and necessary medical care to over 98 roosters and other animals rescued from cruelty and abandonment. Our work continues as animals around the world, including here in Washington, face a growing threat of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI or "bird flu").

This Giving Tuesday, we are highlighting Rooster Haus' ever-present focus on the safety of our bird residents. HPAI continues to be to be a life threatening concern for so many domestic and wild animals. We have taken HPAI very seriously and have prepared our flock families with proper avian influenza protected enclosures, but there are improvements to be made to the newly built enclosures for the cockfighting survivors that were welcomed to our sanctuary this summer.

Our goal of $10,000 would allow us to build a more permanent roof structure (with an estimated cost between $5,000-$8,000) and to reinforce and repair the HPAI safe areas in our 38 separate fenced enclosures (with an estimated cost of $3,000).

Our Board is excited to match the first $4,000 in donations!

💗Thank you for all of your support for the underdogs at Rooster Haus Rescue and we hope you have a safe and warm holiday season with your loved ones.
