Help Rooster Haus Rescue Give Every Resident a Safe, Comfortable, and Healthy Start and Future!

The first $2,500 in donations are DOUBLED with a board match!

For the 2025 GiveBIG campaign, weโ€™re raising funds to purchase a critical isolation unit for our residents at Rooster Haus Rescueโ€”and weRosie and Wayne - cockfighting survivors need your help to make it happen. Rooster Haus cares primarily for chickens, both roosters and hens, whom we've rescued from abandonment, cockfighting, and other types of neglect and abuse. We also give care to our resident ducks, turkeys, peafowl, pigeons, fishes, cats, dogs, and a very sweet and silly pheasant.  One thing every resident has in common is they all deserve safety, love, good health, and happiness.  When a resident falls ill, is injured, or succumbs to older age ailments, it's important they have a safe and comfortable place to stay where we can give them the medical treatment they need and closely monitor them.

LouiseNew isolation units would provide adequate space for installation of medical equipment such as our oxygen concentrator. Having efficient access to emergency care is crucial for our residents who, for example, may occasionally struggle with shortness of breath due to conditions like advanced heart disease. As our residents age, just like us, their needs increase too. These isolation units are a necessity for the comfort, health, and medical needs of the aging families we care for at Rooster Haus Rescue.

  • ๐Ÿ’šWith your support, we can purchase durable, comfortable units that will serve all of our residents, old and new, for years to come.
  • ๐Ÿ“Our goal: $4000 to purchase a stainless steel isolation unit, containing four large isolation spaces.
  • ๐Ÿ“Your impact: Every donation creates a space for a residents continued health and happiness
  • ๐Ÿ“GiveBIG now and be part of our residents' journey from rescue to recovery and their lifelong health and happiness. Thank you for being a part of the flock.

Mission

Our mission is to give neglected and abused farmed animals a safe future, free from harm. Our primary focus is to rescue, rehabilitate, and give permanent sanctuary to the underdogs: roosters and animals with disabilities. We believe in ending all animal abuse and exploitation and follow a way of life guided by vegan principles.

Description

Rooster Haus Rescue was founded in 2016 after a cockfighting ring was busted by police and roughly 600 roosters were seized. All but 20 of them were killed. One of these frightened, abused, and mutilated roosters ended up with our founder. She quickly learned how sensitive and sweet these boys can be, despite being tortured for years and having every reason to fear humans. And so began Rooster Haus Rescueโ€ฆMelvin thriving at Rooster Haus

We're located near Fall City, WA and provide sanctuary to roughly 100 residents including roosters, hens, ducks, turkeys, peafowl, pigeons, a pheasant, fishes, cats, and dogs.
