The Chicken Project - GiveBIG 2026

PeaceTrees is supporting ethnic minority families in rural Vietnam, specifically in the Dong Le and Truong Son communes of Quang Tri, by building sustainable, small-scale poultry systems that create a dependable source of income. Through the Chicken Project, families are able to strengthen their footing and work toward long-term financial security.

Each household receives starter chickens, essential supplies, and hands-on training so they can confidently raise and grow their flocks. With the right resources and guidance, families are equipped to build and sustain their own source of income.

The first round of chicken distribution took place in September 2025, and since then, the results have been encouraging. Within just one cycle, many households have already begun earning additional income and are able to continue independently, expanding their flocks and strengthening their financial stability.

We are now working to grow this project through additional distribution cycles, reaching more families and deepening its impact across these communities.
