Fuel the Future - Advancing STEM for All

Through my work as a STEM coach, including mentoring students in programs like FIRST, I’ve had the opportunity to see students move from curiosity to creation, designing, building, and solving real-world problems. What stands out isn’t just the technical skills they develop, but the confidence, resilience, and mindset that comes with it. Students learn to think critically, collaborate effectively, and push through challenges, skills that go far beyond the classroom.

Organizations like STEM Paths Innovation Network (SPIN) are critical in making these opportunities accessible and impactful. SPIN creates pathways for students to engage deeply with STEM through hands-on programs, mentorship, and real-world exposure. It’s not just about learning concepts, it’s about experiencing them, applying them, and building the confidence to pursue them further.

My passion for STEM fundraising comes from a simple but important belief: access to these opportunities should not be limited, the pay to play barrier. Many students have the curiosity and potential but lack the resources, exposure, or support to fully engage. Fundraising helps bridge that gap, providing tools, guidance, and platforms for students to learn, build, and grow.

For me, this work is about more than education, it’s about equity and long-term impact. It’s about creating pathways for students to see themselves as builders, innovators, and problem solvers. Every contribution helps unlock that potential and invests in a future shaped by confident, capable, and curious minds.
