We are so excited to share that thanks to our incredible supporters, South County Cats surpassed all expectations for GiveBIG 2026! Together, we raised over $20,000 to support free/low-cost spay/neuter programs and care for the community cats of South King County.

Whether you are a long-time donor or a new friend, your belief in our mission is what makes this 20-year legacy possible. From our humble beginnings in a garage to this milestone moment, we are honored to have you in our circle. Thank you for making a difference!

The campaign may be over, but the care continues every single day. If you would still like to be part of our Circle of Care, it is never too late to contribute!

THANK YOU! 🐾

Compassion is the heart of our work, but action is the cure.

For two decades, South County Cats has served as a quiet but powerful force in South King County. We began in 2006 with a simple, unwavering mission: to reduce cat overpopulation and homelessness through spay and neuter. This year, as we celebrate our 20th anniversary, that mission has evolved into a volunteer-driven, community-wide Circle of Care.

What is our Circle of Care?

At South County Cats, it takes a network of dedicated individuals and partners working in harmony. We have formalized this process into four critical stages:

TNR - It begins in the field. Our volunteers are on the ground throughout South King County, assisting with Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR). We provide the traps, the training, and the logistical support to ensure that community cats can live healthy lives without contributing to the cycle of unwanted litters.

Expert Clinic Partnerships - By partnering with high-impact organizations at our South County Spay and Neuter Clinic, we turn your donations into medical reality.

Fostering & Socialization - For the cats that fall outside the scope of traditional shelters—the "unadoptables," the under-socialized, and vulnerable kittens—South County Cats provides a safety net. Our network of foster homes offers a quiet space for healing and socialization, turning kittens into beloved family companions.

YOU - The South County Cats circle only moves if it has fuel. You—our donors, neighbors, and supporters—are the connection that keeps us going. Without your support, the circle breaks.

Since our founding, South County Cats has remained a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) non-profit. Every dollar you give goes directly towards our mission.

Over the last 20 years, we have seen the tangible results of your generosity:

  • Thousands of surgeries funded for families with limited resources.

  • Impacted shelter intake rates across our region.

  • A second chance for thousands of cats that may have otherwise fallen through the cracks.

As we celebrate 20 years, we are also preparing for the busiest time of year: Kitten Season! You can support the Circle of Care right now by fulfilling our highest priority needs. These items go directly into the hands of our fosters to save our most vulnerable kittens:
