For me, Casa Latina's mission hit's home. My commitment to advancing the power of Latino workers is rooted in my upbringing—in my family and community of El Paso, Texas.
I’ve been part of the Casa Latina Team since 2020 and today, I serve as the Development & Communications Director. It's an honor to do this work alongside a community that reflects so much of where I come from.
In my role, I lead our development, communications, and fundraising efforts—building relationships and partnerships that bring people closer to our work and movement. From sharing community stories to growing individual support, I help connect our broader community to the impact our members lead every day.
Below are a few moments with my team, out in community—amplifying our work and the movement we’re building together.
What grounds me each day are the voices and leadership of our members. Their stories, like Lizbeth’s shared below, speak to resilience, determination, and deep commitment to their families and future. These are the voices that guide our work.
*Last summer, our team had the privilege of helping bring Lizbeth’s story to life through this video below. Take a moment to watch it.
This year fels especially meaningful. I had the privilege of supporting Casa Latina members, staff, and our coalition partners in the campaign for the Statewide Domestic Worker Bill of Rights, which was signed into law on March 9. This victory was years in the making—driven by members who organized, shared their stories, and led the way to secure stronger protections for domestic workers across Washington.
The photos below capture pieces of that journey and the power of collective action.
Casa Latina is more than a place to find work. Every day, we connect domestic and day workers with fair, dignified employment. We offer education programs like ESL and digital literacy classes, and we create space for workers to come together, build community, and organize for change. It’s a place where people grow their skills, strengthen their voices, and shape a more just future.
This GiveBIG, I’m inviting you to be part of that collective effort. Your support helps sustain this work—opening doors to opportunity, strengthening worker-led organizing, and investing in a future where immigrant workers can thrive.
Every contribution matters, and every action is part of something bigger.
Gracias por apoyar esta causa tan importante. 💛
