For 15 years, we’ve built a powerful network of purpose-driven businesses, creating programs that have generated hundreds of millions in revenue, thousands of jobs, and a more resilient local economy.
Now, as demand for our support grows and we evolve from Seattle Good to the Good Business Network of Washington—to better reflect and engage the communities we serve—we need our community with us to meet the moment. This fundraiser supports the infrastructure and tools needed to carry our mission forward and bring this next chapter to life.
Individual businesses can’t transform the economy alone—the real impact happens when we work together.
You Can Help Build the Economy We All Deserve
If you follow us, then we know you believe in the power of business to be a force for good. Businesses that create jobs that pay living wages, source materials sustainably, treat workers with dignity, and reinvest in our communities.
We have connected more than 3,000 businesses around shared values, issues, and industries, and through those connections do things like:
- Deliver tens of thousands of meals to people facing food insecurity while building a more resilient local food economy through our Good Food Kitchens program
- Build a collaborative of urban manufacturers who collectively generate >$575 million in annual revenue and 5,000+ local jobs in Seattle
- Connect local youth to climate action internships with local businesses, creating climate action plans and reducing footprints
- Connect creative entrepreneurs to empty storefronts, offering economic opportunity while revitalizing our commercial districts
And here's what we've learned: Even the most purpose-driven businesses can't transform our economy alone. The magic happens when they work together—sharing resources, solving problems, building community.
“The support we’ve received through Seattle Good has made it possible for us to feed our community, support our team, and stay rooted in our values.”
—Chef Kristi Brown, Communion Restaurant
Infrastructure for Transformation
An untold number of good businesses across Washington exist but can't easily find each other. A food producer in Spokane. A circular economy innovator in Tacoma. Manufacturers in Seattle. They're ready to collaborate and build a stronger regional economy, they just need the infrastructure to connect.
We need your support to build that infrastructure through the Good Business Network of Washington. When businesses can easily find partners who share their values, when they can collaborate across regions and sectors, when they can access support seamlessly, that's when regional economic transformation happens. And that kind of truly networked economy requires the highly functional infrastructure you can help us build.
That's why having a strong network is essential, and that's where you come in.
By the end of 2025, we need $475,000 to Strengthen Our Roots and Sustain our Community.
$50,000 - Resiliency Fund - We are committed to offering access to our membership, programming, and resources regardless of ability to pay. From a $50 membership admin fee to a $250 program participation fee, all dollars contributed to this fund will directly enable businesses, regardless of resources, to fully participate in our network and programming.
$100,000 - Infrastructure - We currently run multiple programs, each with separate websites, different directories, and therefore, siloed communities, and need to integrate them into a single, powerful platform that can serve the entire regional network, connecting businesses to resources, opportunities, and each other.
$325,000 - Operational Capacity - We run on a very lean organizational infrastructure, which impacts our ability to meet the growing demand that our organization faces. Essential organizational capacity needs include strategic communications, community outreach and management, and overall operational support.
“Seattle Good isn’t just a support org—it’s an accelerator for businesses committed to doing things better.”
—Caleb Green, Tomo
The Time Is Now
We've built trusted relationships and developed community partnerships across Washington. The foundation and the programming are there. What we need now is the infrastructure to connect it all together.
Together, we can build an economy where businesses thrive by doing good, where communities are resilient and connected, and where the wealth we create stays in our region and benefits our people.
