I've spent 15 years in commercial real estate helping people access things most assume were never meant for them — capital, opportunity, ownership. That gap almost always starts early. Long before someone walks into a boardroom, something told them whether they belonged there or not.

That's why I'm on SPIN's board. And that's why I'm asking you to give today.

SPIN runs free STEM programs for girls and BIPOC youth in King County. Not tutoring — real exposure to science, engineering, and technology, with mentors who look like them. I didn't grow up thinking aerospace engineering was for someone like me. Most of SPIN's students don't either. Until SPIN changes that.

2025 by the numbers:

  • 1,203 students served across K–12 programs
  • 75 programs in schools, after-school, and community spaces
  • 36 school and community partners
  • 24 languages spoken among participants
  • 100% free — philanthropy makes sure cost is never the barrier

Please watch the video linked to this page. These are real kids, in our community, building real futures.

I'll be honest with you: this year is different. SPIN is fighting to keep every program running. The students showing up this fall are counting on decisions that get made right now — including yours.

Give at least $50 this GiveBIG season. If you've ever had someone believe in your potential, this is how you pay it forward.

“I enjoyed engaging and experiencing new people, who have similar interests and skills as me. I enjoyed being able to work with, problem solve, brainstorm, and collaborate with like minded people; which has always brought me so much insight. I enjoyed being able to go on special field trips, gaining so much exposure from people who are passionate in their field of work; and who have the desire to shape the future of the youth.” -participant in grade 7
