Everyday people in our community are told they have an eye condition that will result in permanent vision loss. Most of us fear vision loss more than loss of hearing or loss of a limb! When people have vision loss they are trust into a new world where they must learn new skills, find adaptive aids and navigate the complex medical and social support networks. Not surprisingly many people don't even know that there are resources in our community to help.
To create the resource these friend, neighbors and family members need Hope Vision Foundation needs your support. With your donation we will hire a resource navigator who will work one on one with people experiencing vision loss to connect them to and register them for services.
This person will follow up to ensure the resources are appropriate and supportive. Everyone deserves access to resources to manage their disability. People with visual impairments have difficulty finding and accessing resources, but you can help. Each patient intake and assessment costs 50-100$. How many people can you support this year?
