I hope you'll join me this spring to help more kids access the many benefits of time spent in nature through programs with North Cascades Institute.
I'm personally Giving BIG for Youth this year because I believe in the power of time spent in nature together. and the impact these programs can have:
- I’ve seen the surprise and joy from a high schooler who overcame physical and emotional challenges and left her week in the North Cascades changed;
- I’ve heard of the long-lasting memories and impacts from folks who attended Mountain School as a 5th grader and are now grown adults;
- I’ve talked to teachers who have seen their students come alive in the outdoors in a way that wasn’t possible in the classroom; and
- I’ve talked to many alumni who continue to use their leadership skills and knowledge to benefit their communities many years after their trips
