GiveBIG 2023!

Dance Fremont is a community dance school in North Seattle for youth and adults, providing in-depth training in ballet and modern dance since 1996. In a caring and respectful studio environment, we use the art of dance to inspire joy, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Dance can change lives! It nurtures important life skills in a young dancer, builds community, and gives purpose to many—beginners and professionals alike. Dance teaches creativity, perseverance, confidence, teamwork, self-expression, and so much more!

We believe that high quality dance training should be available to everyone, and welcome all backgrounds, bodies, identities, and financial situations. Nobody should be turned away from something that means so much to them just because they can't afford it.

As a non-profit, we rely on your donations to keep going, and to support our community by:
—offering pay-what-you-can classes, events, and workshops
—maintaining a robust scholarship program so that dance training can be more accessible
—giving stable employment to dancers and musicians so they can continue to create art 

Last year, thanks to your donations, we gave out over $7,000 in scholarships, and over $5,000 of in-kind support to working dancers and choreographers in the Seattle area. We hope to match and exceed this amount this year, changing students' lives and bolstering the Seattle dance community!

 WHAT YOUR DONATION DOES:

$15 pays for tights for a student in need

$18 pays for one open class for a dancer in our community

$30 pays for a pair of ballet shoes for a student in need

$96 pays for a one month scholarship for a student taking one class per week

$300 pays for 12 hours of rehearsal space for a local performing artist or dance company

$600 pays for 24 hours of rehearsal space for a local performing artist or dance company (An evening length show could be made in this time!)

$3,680 pays for a year's scholarship for an advanced student taking unlimited classes
