As an engaged board member of Empowering Youth and Families Outreach, I have seen firsthand the impact that EYFO has had on my family since we began participating in 2013. We received much more than before and after-school care services. Involvement with EYFO has provided my family access to a wide range of programs and resources that have helped us achieve our goals and taught me how to be a better parent supporting my children. 

EYFO's College and Career Readiness program has been particularly impactful, emphasizing opportunities that can assist young people in achieving their goals, helping them search and apply for college and scholarship opportunities, and taking them on college and university tours. 

EYFO's commitment to service is evident in the scholarships they award to eligible high school seniors who are EYFO alumni and plan on attending a two or four-year accredited college. 

As a board member, I am proud to be a part of an organization that is making a lifelong impact in the lives of under-served youth by offering multifaceted programming that raises resilient leaders who are empowered to achieve their dreams.
