We want to share with you an opportunity to make a difference in our community's young people's lives. On May 2nd and 3rd, you have the chance to participate in GiveBig Washington, a statewide fundraising campaign that supports local organizations.
We are supporting Empowering Youth & Families Outreach (EYFO.org), a non-profit organization, to provide college scholarship awards and support the education of young people in our community. Your donation will help fund college scholarships and pay for some furnishings for their new facility, EYFO Leadership Enrichment Academy, opening in Q4, 2023.
Last year, EYFO raised over $30,000 through GiveBig Washington, and we know you can help them exceed that amount this year. Your donation can significantly impact the lives of students and their families, helping them achieve their dreams and build a brighter future.
We are deeply committed to supporting Empowering Youth and Families Outreach (EYFO.org) for the following reasons:
1. EYFO provides academic success, builds positive character traits, and supports the youth they serve in the pursuit of their life goals. Since 2002 EYFO's extensive programs have served over 5,000 youth and their families. Program offerings include College and Career Readiness, STEM, Financial Literacy, and Youth Entrepreneurial Programs. EYFO's multifaceted programs raise up resilient leaders and empower them to achieve their dreams.
2. EYFO's College and Career Readiness program is particularly impactful, emphasizing opportunities that can assist young people in achieving their goals. EYFO helps them search and apply for college and scholarship opportunities and takes them on college tours. Over the years, EYFO's College and Career Planning Program has taken sixty-nine students to California, New York, Virginia, Georgia, Alabama,. and Washington DC on college tours. In 2022, EYFO awarded 12 scholarships to eligible high school seniors who went on to attend two or four-year institutions.
3. EYFO is committed to community involvement and engagement in making positive changes one child at a time.
