STEM Paths Innovation Network (SPIN) creates STEM opportunities through high quality K-12 STEM programming that engages families, uplifts communities, and empowers students. As a STEM higher ed practitioner, I have the honor of serving on the board of SPIN, and supporting the organization as we prepare future STEM leaders!

All of which are essential but often out of reach for many students that are STEM-curious. 

SPIN is serious about STEM! Below is what we accomplished in 2024:

• We served 900+ students
• We partnered with 20+ community organizations and K-12 schools
• We expanded our impact by 25%
• More than 70% of the students we served are from demographics that are historically underrepresented in STEM fields
• 50% of the students we served are bilingual or multilingual, encapsulating the diversity of Southeast Seattle
