Did you know that Furry Friends partners with another local rescue who coordinates a spay/neuter clinic every Sunday for shelter animals? Our awesome volunteer and Executive Director, Jenn Hutchman, spends her Sundays giving a helping hand at this clinic. Thanks to this relationship, we are usually able to get in 5 spays, 15 neuters or some combination of both for our rescue. This costs us anywhere from $500-$1,000 each WEEK, depending on our needs. This spay/neuter clinic is our main resource for alters, so we are incredibly grateful for that partnership and Jenn!
Over the course of 2024, Furry Friends will spend between $24,000 - $48,000 on spay and neuters ALONE. This is one of the main reasons we are in the very early stages of constructing our own on-site medial building! Having this building means our spay/neuter costs go WAY WAY down, but until this is done (projected to take 3-5 years) we will need YOUR HELP funding all of the spay and neuters in the meantime!
