Furry Friends

Furry Friends, founded in 1999, is a Vancouver, WA. 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill cat rescue and adoption organization.

Furry Friends is a volunteer run organization that strives to help cats in the Vancouver-Portland Metropolitan and surrounding areas receive the medical services and companionship they need. We rescue abused, abandoned or otherwise homeless cats and house them in a safe, healthy and socialized environment until we find new “forever homes” for them. Furry Friends is funded by both individual and corporate donations; and as a 501(c)(3), non-profit, your donations are tax deductible.

We are committed to providing the best possible medical care for the cats we rescue before they are placed in their forever homes. Most of them need standard shots and spay/neutering, but sometimes they require dental work, emergency surgery, or life-saving medications. Last year we spent over $168,000 on medical treatments alone! That said, we hope to raise $10,000 this #GiveBIG to help alleviate some of those medical expenses and keep our shelter up and running for the 600+ cats and kittens we rescue yearly! OUR MISSION

Furry Friends' Mission is to help homeless, neglected, or abused cats by providing the following services:

- Medical care until the cats are re-homed

- Spaying and neutering

- Providing a safe, healthy and socialized environment for the cats in our care

- Educating the community in responsible pet ownership and care
