Welcome to Issue #3 of Fundraising Accelerator, a step-by-step road map for planning a successful GiveBIG campaign.

Early giving begins next week! This also means we're now two weeks away from the big giving day on May 5. You still have time to spruce up your profile page and get your donors excited for giving. Right now, focus on these three key planning elements:

    1. Make sure your profile page is dressed for success.

    2. Plan out your social media and email strategy.

    3. Ensure your peer fundraising pages are set up.

1. Make sure your profile page is dressed for success

You're likely to raise more money if your profile page has all of the following elements: 

  • A banner image.
  • A logo (required).
  • A goal (why would someone donate to an organization that has no goal?).
  • Matching funds available (ask board members and donors who are GiveBIG regulars to pledge a donation amount and use that as your matching fund). 
  • Mission statement and description of your services (required).
  • A story demonstrating the impact of your work.
  • At least 3 pictures/videos.
  • Social media links.

Also, you can shorten your profile page URL by taking out the word "organization." This trick can come in handy when you're creating postcards, posters, signage, and other materials where space is at a premium.
