Seattle Veterinary Outreach

A nonprofit organization

Seattle Veterinary Outreach was created to support the right of all people, no matter their socio-economic status, to experience the love that exists between people and their pets. We believe that extending a hand of kindness to people in need, by providing for their beloved pets, will not only benefit them, it will benefit us all.

By providing holistic support via mobile clinics, delivering veterinary services coupled with community outreach, SVO builds resilience in vulnerable populations, empowering them to transform their lives and to be healthy together.

Support a New Location

This year, we began piloting clinics in Renton and the need has been overwhelming.  Our outreach clinics that typically see a mix of healthy and sick pets, are overwhelmed by sick and urgent care cases leading us to need to additional veterinary support.

After four pilot clinics, the urgency of the need is clear.

  • We’ve supported 113 pets, including 46 needing urgent treatment
  • 180 vaccines—with 36 families relying on them to maintain or access housing.
  • 29 microchips and 128 ID tags helped keep pets with their families.
  • In support of community health, we’ve also delivered 309 doses of anti-parasitics,
  • Distributed 376 pounds of pet food to meet basic needs.

Right now, this work is still in a pilot phase and not yet funded.  This is a moment to step forward together.  This GiveBIG, we invite you to be part of building access to care for pets and people in Renton and the south end.

When we care for pets, we care for people—and we strengthen our communities.
