Urban ArtWorks engages youth, artists, and communities in the creation of public art that inspires connections and honors their voices.
We prioritize working with individuals and communities who face barriers to arts education and employment opportunities. Of the 104 total youth apprentices in Urban ArtWorks 2022 programs: 69% youth are from BIPOC communities, 62% identify as LGBTQ+, and 55% are from low-income households.

Summer is our busiest season - and the first time many youth, artists, and communities complete a large-scale mural!
This summer, we plan to reach youth apprentices in six communities in Seattle, Burien, and Shoreline - more than ever before!
In 2022, Urban ArtWorks engaged 2,685 youth, artists, and community members through the creation of 118 public artworks in 24 Seattle neighborhoods and 12 cities!
