SWIMMING FOR THE SOUND
This Friday, August 21, Seattle open-water swimmer Mike Hodel will swim from Ray’s Boathouse across Puget Sound to Fay Bainbridge Park — touch Bainbridge Island, turn around, and swim back.
10 miles. One swim.
Mike crossed the English Channel in July and completed the 20 Bridges swim around Manhattan last week. Now it's time to bring the adventure home to Seattle to raise $10,000 for Puget Soundkeeper.
“Puget Sound is where millions of Northwesterners swim, sail, fish, dive, paddle, cold plunge and play. The Sound needs us to show the same love and support we all pull from it.” — Mike

WHY PUGET SOUNDKEEPER ALLIANCE?
Since 1984, Puget Soundkeeper has worked to protect where we swim, paddle, sail and play through pollution prevention, advocacy, community science and hands-on stewardship. In 2025, Puget Soundkeeper removed 8,000+ pounds of marine debris, conducted 61 on-water and shoreline cleanups, and directed over $1.5 million toward impacted waterways and communities.
HELP US REACH $10,000 THIS WEEK.
Help keep Puget Sound clean, healthy and swimmable.
