For many we serve, stepping onto the beach is a first.
And for many, it’s also a first time understanding that the choices we make at home—what goes down our drains, how we care for our yards, how we live each day—flow to the Salish Sea.
Students begin to see their connection.
Adults begin to see their role.
And when people understand that connection, they begin to care—and to act. Your GiveBIG 2026 gift makes that shift possible.
Each year, we provide more than $80,000 in free programming—creating first experiences with the Salish Sea that spark curiosity, build connection, and shape how people care for the environment for years to come.
But the need continues to grow.
As schools face funding cuts, access to the Salish Sea is no longer guaranteed. At the same time, many in our community are disconnected from the natural world—unaware of what lives here and why it matters.
And when those first experiences don’t happen, connection—and care—often never begin.
Your gift ensures those moments—and the care that follows—can begin.

Become a Monthly Supporter: Monthly giving provides steady, reliable support that helps make these experiences possible all year long — not just during fundraising campaigns. It allows us to plan ahead, expand access, and ensure more youth, community members, and families can connect with the Salish Sea when opportunities arise.
Even small monthly gifts add up to a powerful, lasting impact — creating meaningful experiences that spark curiosity, connection, and care throughout the year.
