Spring and summer mark the height of kitten season. At Alley Cat Project, we know that keeping feline families together leads to healthier, more stable outcomes for both mothers and their kittens. Unspayed females face serious risks - from the inherent dangers of pregnancy and birth to sudden, life-threatening infections that can develop without warning.

Unplanned litters also put kittens at risk. When cats reproduce faster than people can support them, it often leads to overwhelmed caregivers and, too often, abandoned kittens without the resources they need to survive.

With the right support, we can offer safe environments, essential veterinary care, and a path out of the exhausting cycle of constant breeding.

Your donation gives mama cats the chance to recover and raise their kittens in safety, without the stress of surviving outdoors or producing litter after litter. It gives kittens the healthy start they deserve. And it helps create a future with fewer cats facing hardship.

Alley Cat Project is dedicated to reducing the stray cat population in Seattle through trap-neuter-return. We spay and neuter feral cats, and we foster, socialize, and adopt out kittens and adult cats who can thrive in homes. As a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based organization with no physical shelter, every donation directly supports the care of cats in our community.
