I’m proud to be part of FamilyWorks' Growing Community, Together campaign to provide nutritious food, essential resources, and a caring community to North Seattle families. Through my work at FamilyWorks, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand what it means to show up for our neighbors with care, consistency, and respect.

I’ve met families navigating incredibly tough circumstances, and I’ve also seen the difference that a strong, compassionate community can make. Whether it’s access to nutritious and culturally familiar food, help meeting basic needs, parenting support, or simply being welcomed with dignity, FamilyWorks is a place where people find more than just resources—they find connection, care, and a sense of belonging that can make all the difference.

I’ve also seen how bringing services directly into communities through our Mobile Food Pantry program, Groceries to Go online ordering system (like Instacart for food banks!), and partnerships with affordable housing communities and public schools, helps lower barriers to access and ensures that a temporary hardship doesn’t become a lasting crisis.

For more than 8,200 households each year, FamilyWorks is a reliable source of food, resources, and community as they work toward stability and their goals. Being part of this work has shown me how powerful it is when people come together to care for one another.
