WIAC GiveBIG 2024

Whidbey Island Arts Council has been supporting artists and the creative population of Whidbey Island since 1980! 

In the early years the organization presented arts and cultural events for local residents and tourists. More recently WIAC has shifted focus to supporting the efforts of myriad local individuals and emerging arts organizations with educational programs, fiscal sponsorship, grants and scholarships (including hardship grants), and promotional assistance for established and emerging members, both individual and organizations.

WIAC's promotional channels reach the length of the island, and beyond. Our goal is to draw audiences for our members' and member organizations' events, shows and productions, and to help them build vibrant and successful programs. Virtually every arts-based business on Whidbey Island can benefit from WIAC's tools and programs. We entice visitors to enjoy the very special creative culture of our beautiful island, promoting not only the work of our creative neighbors but tourism and commerce as well.

As the bumper sticker says: "Whidbey Island - so magical, fairies take you there!"
