May 6th and 7th are the official giving days of GiveBIG, but we can get a head start by accepting GiveBIG donations beginning April 22nd! Not only that, but we can accept GiveBIG donations all the way through May 31st. Since May is National Pet Month, the timing couldn't be better to give for homeless pets!
WAIF has experienced some challenges issues during the first part of the year. Costly repairs and animal intake of a hoarding situation was a bit surprising, but our staff is resilient and the daily, compassionate care of shelter animals never wavered.
Donations make it possible to ensure that WAIF will be there in a vulnerable animal's time of need. In fact, over 90% of our support comes from monetary donations and thrift store sales. This crucial lifeline of support is vital to do everything resourcefully possible in our life-saving efforts for homeless cats and dogs.
