Umoja is partnering with Food Lifeline to help keep neighbors fed during the holidays and the government shutdowns. 

When paychecks are delayed and essential benefits are disrupted, local families feel it first. SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) issuance and certifications will likely be delayed or interrupted during shutdowns, creating immediate gaps for households that rely on these benefits. 

Food Lifeline can move truckloads of nutritious food across Western Washington within days—but only with community support.

Your donation powers emergency food sourcing, distribution to partner food banks, and culturally relevant meals for families, federal workers, and contractors affected by a shutdown.
