Since 1935, the grass roots consumer organization you know as Washington Council of the Blind has made a significant difference in the lives of countless blind and visually impaired citizens of the state of Washington through advocacy, leadership, support, and education.
As a member-driven nonprofit with no paid staff, WCB relies on members and friends to reach out in communities across the state to share experiences, knowledge, and encouragement to anyone directly impacted by vision loss or those with loved ones who are dealing with vision loss.
UBTC is proud to support Washington Council of the Blind and we invite you to join us.
For 44 years, the United Blind of Tri-Cities has been the only local resource for the blind that was created and administered by the blind themselves. We strive to increase the independence, security, equality of opportunity and quality of life for all blind and visually impaired people in our area.
We support the radio reading service, audio described plays, outreach and information programs, and a "Adopt a Blind Child for Christmas" program. UBTC also promotes weekly social activities designed to get our members out of their homes and encourage them to be more active in the community. We are strong advocates in support of the services that we receive from Ben Franklin Transit and Edith Bishel Center.
Your donation to WCB will support the programs and services we need in this state and in our Tri-Cities community.
Thank you for your support!
