The Guild Dance Company was created in 2018 by Artistic Director Alex Ung as a place for artists to have meaningful collaborations. We share our stories, experiences, and memories with our audiences through contemporary dance.
Our 2024-2025 season, theWorks2 and Tour, has been incredible so far with a sold out Works2 showing in the Fall and a successful full run last month!
We are now focusing on the Tour part of our season! The Guild Dance will be featured performers in August at the CelebrAsian 2025 in Iowa. The festival commemorates the 50th Anniversary of the Tai-Dam refugee resettlement there. The company will present, Immigration Stories, a choreographic odyssey by artistic director, Alex Ung that traces the journey of his Tai-Dam family from war-torn Southeast Asia to Iowa.
For this year's GiveBIG, we have set a goal of $3,000 to help cover some of the cost of our Iowa tour. Below are suggested donation amounts, to give you an idea of how funds will be used. But your donation, no matter the amount, will put us one step closer to meeting our goal!
A donation of $25: rehearsal for 2 hours
A donation of $50: rehearsal for 4 hours
A donation of $75: a dancer's per diem
A donation of $100: ground transportation for 1 dancer
A donation of $200: lodging for 1 dancer
A donation of $300: round-trip air transportation for 1 dancer
Sponsor a dancer with a $500-$1000 donation!
