Our first exposure with Community School of West Seattle was at their Open House. We walked in knowing almost nothing about the school, but walked out asking each other "is this real??" It instantly become our top choice. The first thing you notice about the school is the inclusive, loving and community-focused posters and language. The teachers and staff build on that atmosphere with their welcoming words, thoughtful actions and play-based focus. Our child did NOT want to leave. Shortly after, she began calling it her school before we even submitted our application. So far, our first year has been incredible. The staff are some of the kindest people you will meet, putting the kids first and ensuring they have a safe and loving environment to learn in and have fun. We also didn't realize how much we'd appreciate the community. It is easy to make connections with other families, both kids and parents. There is truly not another school we'd want to be at.
