Suzuki Institute of Seattle is in the middle of another great year of our talented teachers guiding and instructing our children through new songs, Suzuki books and recitals! As a non-profit, the school relies on outside donations to help fund our costs to operate the school, pay our teachers a living wage and provide tuition assistance for students in need.
This year we are kicking off the Suzuki Fall Fund Drive on December 3rd (Giving Tuesday) through December 31st. This year, SIS has a projected shortfall of just under $20,000. With the recent success of our Faculty Fundraiser Concert and Silent Auction, we are looking to raise another $14,000 to close the gap. The Board has set a goal of $8,000 and 100% parent participation. We are suggesting a donation of $250 per family. Our suggested donation is based on the estimated number of families at Suzuki and the funding needed; however, we encourage every family to donate in any amount. Whether it’s $50 or $500, every donation matters and counts. As Board members, we are either teachers or parents of students, and we do not take this request lightly.
We intentionally keep tuition as low as practical to allow access to as many students as possible. In an effort to bridge the gap we are kicking off our fall fund drive campaign to give families and community members the opportunity to help the school continue its great work of educating and enriching our children’s lives through music.
The Suzuki Institute of Seattle is a community of teachers, parents, families and children, whose mission is to develop each child to their fullest potential by teaching memory, concentration, coordination, and collaboration. We may not be able to save Seattle from the rising cost of living, but we can come together to help our Suzuki community weather through these high costs. Please donate today!
