I have been a loyal supporter of Project Ethiopia since it was started by my dear friends Judy Sanderman and Dennis Wilkins nearly 20 years ago. What inspires me the most about the Project is the deep trusting relationship we have with our Project Directors, Workineh and Awoke. Our mutual trust and respect has grown over the years as we navigate the important work of setting priorities based on the needs of the community balanced with the resources we can provide. This project is unique because we work directly with community members in rural Dangla to determine what the greatest needs are in the areas of education, economic resilience, and healthy homes for all. We support the communities in the following ways:
* building primary schools in remote areas
* supporting University Students with important supplies as they enter their first year away from home.
* helping needy families build healthy homes with sturdy iron roofing and durable indoor solar lighting
* providing low-interest (5%) micro loans for farmers so they can increase their economic resilience
