through the Cultural Tradition of Giving'. We are rooted in our Values of Reciprocity, Generosity, Honor, and Culture. As a Native-led, Native-serving nonprofit working in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana, we have redirected over $10M to urban and rural Native communities.

Care Takers of the Land- Potlatch Fund GranteeEach year we’re intentional in our flexibility and responsiveness in providing grants to Tribes, organizations, individuals, and fiscally sponsored projects and programs. Our efforts are dedicated to ensuring that Native individuals and culture continue to prosper—not just financially, but in every aspect of life. We’re inspiring and building upon the centuries-old Native tradition of giving—and paving the way for a truly rich future.

As a leading organization in the Northwest, we cultivate and foster relationships between funders and Tribes, individuals, and organizations. We know that Native people make up 2.9% of U.S. Population but receive only 0.4% of Philanthropic Dollars1. Through our 22 years, Potlatch Fund has served as a vital link between the Philanthropic communities in the Pacific Northwest and Indian Country.

“We see wealth for the many things it is; The freedom to speak the language of our ancestors. To preserve our art and our sacred land. To protect our traditions and instill them in our youth. To advance our communities in an ever-changing world. Your donation ensures that vital resources continue to flow to our communities to preserve and strengthen Native cultures for future generations.” - Potlatch Fund Community Member
