GiveBIG 2024 : Cool Comfort for Nikkei Manor

As the summer heat approaches, let's come together to ensure that everyone at Nikkei Manor enjoys cool comfort in their common areas. Nikkei Manor is more than just a residence; it's a vibrant community where elders gather, stories are shared, and friendships flourish. However, the lack of air conditioning in common spaces poses a significant challenge, especially during hot summer days. This year, for GiveBIG 2024, we have a mission: to raise $20,000 to install air conditioning.

Nikkei Manor continues to serve the Japanese American community in the Greater Seattle area. Seattle's summers are persistently becoming hotter, with 2023 marking the sixth-hottest summer on record. Nikkei Manor is responding to this growing issue by installing air conditioning units in common areas to ensure residents health, wellness, and comfortability remain a priority. 

Your generous dollars will help us install 4 air conditioning units serving over 64 staff, 40 volunteers, 15 adult day center participants, and 39 residents.
