RESTORATION PHASE2:

Phase 2 is scheduled to begin in late 2026 or early 2027. This phase will restore the historic front entryways to their early‑20th‑century appearance, using modern materials that meet today’s safety standards. In addition, the rear entry and ADA ramp will be completely rebuilt to comply with current 2021 safety and accessibility requirements.

RESTORATION PHASE3:

The remaining restoration phases will expand usable space by up to 50%, increase storage, complete interior and exterior finish work.  These improvements will make the building more functional for community events as well as restore the interior stage.  Improvements are detailed below:

USABILITY

To increase space and restore historic function, we plan to remove the rear wall and add:

  • A stage
  • A closet
  • A space that will eventually become a commercial kitchen (Phase4)

Under current Washington State law, facilities without a commercial kitchen are limited to just a few food‑permitted events per year. That means we can’t even serve popcorn at a movie night without using one of those permits. Adding a commercial kitchen will lift this restriction entirely, allowing us to host unlimited events and dramatically expand what we can offer the community.

The new rear addition will also create exterior storage closets beneath the stage, kitchen, and interior closet—perfect for storing outdoor tables and chairs, cornhole boards, grills, Crosby Days Logging Festival equipment, and other event supplies.

Inside the hall, the added space will free up valuable floor area and eventually allow us to restore much of the interior to its original historic layout.

All additions will be located at the rear of the building to preserve the historic architecture of the front and sides.

HISTORY

Interior and exterior woodwork, shingles, walls, and other architectural elements on the rear of the building will be carefully repaired and restored. Wherever possible, materials and design details will match the original 1920s craftsmanship, while modern, durable materials will be used strategically to reduce long‑term maintenance costs.
