More about Washington Business Week
Seattle-Gdynia Sister City Association is one of 20 Sister City Associations that the City of Seattle has with cities all over the world. The idea was originated by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1956. The idea of SGSCA goes back to 1990 when the initial work to establish it began. The Association was formally approved by the Seattle City Council resolution in 1993. SGSCA’s mission is to promote better understanding between citizens of Gdynia and Seattle through community partnerships, cultural, educational and business programs, and people-to-people contact. SGSCA will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
