HONK! Fest West (HFW) is ridiculous fun! HONK! Fest West makes free live music available to all ages in communities throughout the city of Seattle.
HFW inspired me to believe in my dreams and to become a musician as an adult. It is a lot of hard work and I love it. I now dedicate most of my free time to music and to bringing wonder, surprise, and fierce joy in public spaces. As one of the original HONKs, HONK! Fest West is part of a global renaissance of street band culture that has enriched the musical landscape of Seattle since 2008.
You can be part of the revelry too! Make a donation, volunteer, attend (first weekend in June) or pick up an instrument and learn to play. And, bring earplugs - my cymbals are loud! hahaha
On Giving Tuesday, please join me in contributing to HONK! Festival West. HFW is now a 501c3 nonprofit organization that hosts a three-day, free, outdoor music festival in underserved communities, and provides partnerships and programming year-round. (I joined the Board of Directors in 2021.)
I will match up to $250 in contributions to my HONK! Festival West fundraiser. I'll donate $50 and match up to $250 if you donate by November 28 (Giving Tuesday).
