C89.5 is a listener-supported, nonprofit radio station, located at Nathan Hale High School. The school district pays for our classroom and 1 full-time and 1 part-time instructors, but 80% of the funding for the station comes from our community.
Donation help provide career-connected learning experiences for students outside the classroom, such as support staff for our after-school programs, equipment maintenance and upgrades in the studios used by our students, and internships.
Donations also fund the dance music programming we provide to over 150,000 listeners each week: music licensing, audience research, rent and electricity on our broadcast tower, community events, and the 7-person professional staff who run the radio station.
