On Saturday, September 12, I will be joining ETS staff and supporters at the Move for Recovery event at Seward Park. You can support me as I move alongside ETS and honor people in recovery. My goal is to raise $500 — consider donating to my page to help me reach this goal!
I rarely fundraise, but this one really means a lot to me. I honor those in recovery, and those who didn’t get to make it to that stage, like my nephew Zach, and those who are left to carry on his memory.
Zach was deeply loved by his family, his friends, and everyone whose path he crossed. He was funny, charismatic, smart, and had a heart that was incredibly kind. He brought light and laughter to the lives of so many people.
His loss is a heartbreaking reminder that addiction does not discriminate. It does not care who you are, how loved you are, or how much potential you have. Addiction has no prejudice.
Remember Zach for the person he was, not the disease that took him from us.
