Max's Community School Fundraiser

Max is so lucky to go to a genuinely wonderful preschool just a few blocks from our house (the rainbow fence school!). He loves his teachers, his classmates, the non-stop "creations", the outdoor time, the studio time...all of it. We love that he is encouraged to be his curious and creative self, and that he is surrounded each day by people who genuinely believe in child led, play based learning, inclusivity, equity, and collective care.

The Community School of West Seattle is a nonprofit preschool on the border of West Seattle and White Center, and as a nonprofit, it relies heavily on community support to sustain some of it's unique services, like outside therapies and coaches. Max is one of many students who benefits from having an occupational therapist join him individually in class once a week to support social skills, group dynamics, and emotional regulation. With cuts in grants and funding, as well as the economic impact COVID, the school has had to scale back it's partnerships with these impactful programs. Donations to this fundraiser will go to those student support programs, with excess beyond the goal supporting some of the other excellent work done by the school.
