The NorthWest Stone Sculptors Association (NWSSA) and King County Parks (KCP) have a partnership to place stone sculpture at Marymoor Park in Redmond to enhance the park experience for visitors and provide visibility for NWSSA stone sculptors. There are 7 plinths installed for a rotating Public Art in the Park Exhibit managed by NWSSA.

The main goals of this project are:

  • To provide the public with better access to stone sculpture (thereby building sculpture appreciation)
  • Support stone sculptors by creating a new exhibition venue
  • To help artists sell work and gain public art experience

There are currently 6 stone sculptures installed at Marymoor Park by NWSSA members, with a 7th concrete plinth waiting on-site for installation. We anticipate rotating the exhibit every 1-2 years to keep it fresh and energetic.

This GiveBIG fundraiser will support the rental/use of crane truck and team to coordinate the installation of a sculpture on the 7th plinth.
