Margot Petersen's Story

I’ve been part of Free Rein for just one year—but in that short time, it has changed me in ways I never expected.

This place has filled my heart with so much joy, hope, and happiness. I often find myself overwhelmed with gratitude to witness and be part of so many incredible journeys. Every rider, every family, every moment in the arena reminds me why this work matters.

Each week, I spend time in the arena with an amazing young girl who has completely stolen my heart. I look forward to our time together more than I can put into words. I love watching her ride, listening as she tells her imaginative stories, and learning all kinds of fun facts about bugs & vegetables! She absolutely bursts with happiness—and the hour I get to spend with her each week is, without a doubt, the best part of mine.
