Go kits for Food Bank customers

Customers of Vashon Food Bank may not have the time, space, or funds to complete a family go bag they may need after an earthquake or other adverse event. The Food Bank and VashonBePrepared are collaborating to provide 400 basic kits for food bank customers, including glow sticks, emergency blankets, wipes, masks, first aid kits, a power bank to charge cell phones, and shelf-stable snacks. We've applied for a grant from PSE Foundation to help with this project - we'll find out in June if we have won the grant that will cover about half the costs of the project.
