To promote the well-being of wildlife and their habitats through rehabilitation of injured and orphaned wildlife, public education and non-invasive research.
Since its founding in 1983, Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehabilitation Center has provided care for over 21,000 injured and orphaned wild animals, always with the goal of returning them to their natural habitats.
From hummingbirds and woodpeckers to eagles, owls, herons, raccoons, deer, and even seals, we have treated more than 200 species of wildlife at our facility.
When an animal arrives at Wolf Hollow, it receives a thorough examination to assess its condition and determine the necessary treatment. Some patients are healthy young animals who have been orphaned or separated from their parents. These animals are provided with specialized diets and care until they are old enough—and skilled enough—to survive in the wild.
Others are adult animals suffering from injuries or illness, such as broken wings, head trauma, or deep wounds. Many arrive malnourished, dehydrated, and fighting severe infections. These animals often require medication, wound care, or even surgery as part of their recovery.
Every case is different, but the goal is always the same: to rehabilitate and return wild animals to the wild, where they belong.
All of our patients need specialized, supportive care until they are fully recovered. Some—especially very young or severely injured animals—may stay with us for several months, while others are ready to return to the wild after just a few days.
Throughout their time at Wolf Hollow, we take great care to minimize human interaction. Preventing habituation is critical—our goal is to ensure that each animal retains its natural behaviors and instincts, giving it the best possible chance of survival once released.
When an animal has healed completely or is mature enough to fend for itself, it is returned to its natural habitat, where it belongs.
